8-Man Football Back in Michigan, But No State Championship in 2010
by Jeff Fisher
Michigan High School Football Huddle
Mike McCabe of the Free Press is reporting in his blog today there will be 8-Man high school football in Michigan this season, but because not enough teams agreed to play an 8-Man schedule in 2010, there will not be a post-season.
According to McCabe, only 16 teams will play this fall. The Michigan High School Athletic Association said it would have played a 16-team championship playoff tournament if 20 teams had committed for the upcoming season.

Last month, 13-year old David Sills from Delaware gave his verbal commitment to USC head coach Lane Kifflin. Now, comes news from former colleague Tom Leyden, sports anchor at WXYZ-TV in Detroit, that Dylan Brock from Brownstown Township in Michigan is turning some heads before even making his freshman football team.
