Post-Season Begins Tonight

Here are the qualifiers and pre-District pairings for the 2007 Michigan High School Athletic Association Football Playoffs.

In each district, the first game listed shows the fourth place team based on playoff point average against the first place team; and the second game listed shows the third place team against the second place team.

Pre-district games will take place at the site of the school with the higher playoff point average.

District final games will take place Nov. 2 or 3 at the school with the higher playoff point average. Regional final games will take place Nov. 9 or 10 at the school with the higher playoff point average unless the two schools are 200 or more miles apart and a prearranged site will be used. Semifinal games will take place Nov. 17 at prearranged sites.

Final games will be played at Ford Field in Detroit according to the following schedule: Nov. 23 — Division 8, 10 a.m.; Division 2, 1 p.m.; Division 6, 4:30 p.m.; and Division 4, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24 — Division 7, 10 a.m.; Division 1, 1 p.m.; Division 5, 4:30 p.m.; and Division 3, 7:30 p.m.
