A Michigan High School Football Tradition Fades Into Hitory

When the Flint Northern Vikings take the field Friday night in its season opener at Ecorse, a new chapter in the program will start. The closing of Flint Central at the end of the last school year, meant that arch-rivals are now teammates after 81-years of hating each other. Dan Nilsen of The Flint Journal looks back at the tradition. Plus, Nilsen also has a preview of the 2009 season.
